1079 Life's Lunchbox Legends

It’s back to school time across South Australia soon and for some it’s a really exciting time. For others though, it can be a bit worrying if they don’t have all the necessary things to just be a regular school kid.

That’s where 1079 Life’s Lunch Box Legends come in!

As you’re picking up your kids school supplies for another year, why not grab a lunch box for a child here in Adelaide who doesn’t have one for themselves. All children want is to simply “fit in” and just be like other children in the class. Having a lunch box gives them that tool and confidence at school.

1079 Life will be passing them on to a group called Cos We Care for them to bless young school kids in need. Once a child has a lunch box of their very own, with their name on it, it belongs to them. What a boost to a young child’s self-esteem.

Let’s help young kids here in Adelaide from feeling left out because of something so small like not having a lunch box. So let’s all do something about it!

Drop off your lunch boxes at station sponsor Howards Storage World Mile End, Auto One Clovercrest, the 1079 Life studio in Hendon anytime, or to The Roadies when they are out and about (see details under ‘Find Out Where We’ll Be Next Monday’ above).

Play TAG with the Roadies

Don’t throw away your old bread bag tags!

Bring your bread tags along to The Roadies each Monday or drop them off to a collection point and we will recycle them, thanks to a generous recycler in Robe – Transmutation.

We receive cash for our bread tags and the proceeds are sent to
Bread tags for Wheelchairs in South Africa, a group who help adults and children with disabilities obtain much needed wheelchairs. It takes around 200 kg of bread tags to purchase one wheelchair, so every bread tag counts.

We are also partnering with Aussie Bread Tags for Wheelchairs!  Together, our aim is to create more collection points all over Australia. To host or find out about other collection points contact

Bring your bread tags along to the Roadies each Monday or to
