Saint Judy is the latest project from faith-based company Heritage Films International, releasing on August 20. The film centres on the inspirational immigration attorney Judy Wood and her fight for compassionate reform in California.

Scotty from 1079LIFE sat down with CEO of Heritage Films International, Rod Hopper, in anticipation of the upcoming theatrical release.

Rod spoke about “The Kindness Project”, a movement started alongside the film to encourage people to share what they see as positive moments that make life better for the community.

“We’re bringing this film out [Saint Judy] and it’s a really interesting season, so sometimes we’ve got to take our eyes off of ourselves. We thought that this was an opportunity to nominate someone that we’ve seen in our world that has given us beautiful kindness or shown kindness in our community, our family our church, our school… Wherever it might be”

1079 LIFE and Movies Change People are partnering to support positivity in these difficult times by offering $350 multi-passes to the online platform along with special gifts for every entry.

Kit from 1079 LIFE has taken to the station’s Facebook page to share a special moment of her own but she isn’t alone in sharing.

By visiting the 1079 LIFE website and following the WIN tab, listeners can take part and tune in throughout the day to find out if they’ve won.

The true story that inspired the film helped thousands of women from Afghanistan and shows us that the fight for one is a fight for all.

Following the success of the “Hope at Home” online film festival, Rod was grateful for the participation of LIFE audiences and plans to make “The Kindness Project” a chance to make change.

“We’ve had more doors open for us in Australia and New Zealand than in our entire 16-year history, it’s pretty bizarre, but it’s lovely”, Rod said.
