10 Things I Hate About the Taming of the Shrew.

Hailing from lovely Canada,Gillian English has been living in Australia for three years, mostly in Tasmania. She has a Masters of Fine Arts and she hates Shakespeare’s play The Taming of the Shrew!

Gillian spends an hour telling you why this play and the movie based on it, 10 Things I Hate About You, and actually most of Shakespeare’s plays are wrong. Especially in our day and age. Expressing her belief that most of Shakespeare’s work being misogynistic, chauvinistic and sexist, Gillian’s take on all his works I found to be refreshing and current. With the breakdown of song lyrics and lines from the play, I learnt a different perspective in an hour.

Language warning.
