1079 Life has joined forces with charity group Feed the Hungry to help alleviate child hunger in some of the world’s poorest regions.

As part of their annual November Appeal, 1079 Life is assisting the not for profit organisation in their drive to provide food for children who would otherwise go without.

For $107.90 you can feed a hungry child for a month.

Not only will the food help their physical daily need and mental development but you also allow the children to focus on other important elements of childhood including their education and emotional health. Your donation helps let kids be kids.

“This year is busier than normal” says Ben Evans, CEO of Feed the Hungry, “we’re probably feeding twice as many”.

1079 Life’s promotions manager Kit Densley believes that despite Covid listeners will dig deep to donate.

“What’s awesome is that the dollars of your donation still go to the great work of 1079 Life. Then a supporter of the station will donate to Feed the Hungry, hence doubling your impact.

“We have a great listener base who not only understand the importance of the cause but also that Covid has greatly impacted the capacity of charities to operate around the world”.

Feed the Hungry is an evangelical Christian charity operating in over 20 developing countries from Romania and Honduras to Zambia and the Philippines.

“Everyday we are feeding over 300,000 children” according to Mr Evans. You can be a part of the community by calling 8444 5444 or online.
