eMbrace program helps struggling mothers get the best start to motherhood

Starting a family can be hard. It can be even harder if your a single mum or a mum already struggling with other issues.
Knowing where to go or who to turn to can be a daunting and even frightening experience.
However the people at the Australian Christian charity Genesis Pregnancy Support Inc. are available to assist struggling mothers get the most out of early parenting, both for themselves and their child.
Their program eMbrace is designed to give a holistic program addressing the mother’s physical, emotional, psycho-social, intellectual and spiritual
well-being to single mothers with children under 3 years old that have limited family support or at risk or marginalized mothers connected to government or NGO services.
The program consists of a part time 6 week live in residential set up in which mothers and their children are given mentoring and support in an effort to learn new ways of parenting in a caring and non judgmental environment.
Instructions in life skills, positive parent to child relationship training, emotional health training/support and group outings are just some of the experiences to be had during the 6 week program.
Each program consists of a minimum of 2 women and a maximum of 4 thereby ensuring an intimate set up designed to help cater to the individual needs of each parent.
A free spot is available for the upcoming program commencing 30th April to 6th June. Applications will close Monday 26th April.
