Thank you to the following people who have donated ready for the night:

Bloom began as a duo around 2013 when Kirsten Croser and Jenny Hood formed a duo as storyteller-songwriters. Bloom has now grown with the addition of Rachel Baverstock (vocals/keyboards) and part-time drummer Ben Row. Bloom’s music is a blend of inspirational, indie, to pop, rock and funk soul beats with songs that soar with hope, truth and love.

Ben Cosford:

I first picked up an instrument at age 10, blasting my parents ears with the Cornet, then Tenor Sax (taught by none other than Jason from Frenzel Rhomb – yep, unashamedly name dropping), Piano, Guitar, Vocals and Drums (for coping with year 12 rage)! I had the highest voice in my school in year 7, good for the high “wee”s in Lion Sleeps tonight, that later dropped in time to join a barber shop quartet, we swung low sweet chariot’s with boater and braces! There was quite the variety of singing in these years from lead roles in musicals (alongside my lead role nemesis, now comedian, Jim Jeffries), choir, barber shop and my own songwriting which began at age 13 after a trip to Bali when I penned my first song “Parawisata” – Indonesian for Tourist!

Now many years later, after being diagnosed with ADHD in February 2020, my 20 year battle with depression was lifted and my creative juices started flowing like never before. The weight of depression can really stifle creative energies as it saps life out of you. And so this last year has seen me writing more than ever before and being driven to get a band together and start gigging.

I am planning to record an EP in July which I am very excited about. Though a little daunted as well. I have been wanting to record an album for many years and now as it draws near, all those expectations of how I want it to turn out are calling for attention! Stay tuned.
