Your Feedback is Needed in the Evaluation of the School Chaplaincy Program
School chaplains are qualified youth workers who support young people in the schoolyard. They are positive role models who deliver compassionate pastoral care and practical support to school communities.
Chaplains support students in many ways. They help them to deal with a broad range of issues, from family breakdown and loneliness to things such as friendships, mental health, and wise decision-making.
Chaplains have completed nationally recognised training in how to recognise mental health issues and how to ensure that students experiencing such problems can connect with professionals such as psychologists.
Currently, the school chaplaincy program funding is under review and they need your help. If you have been impacted by a chaplain or a family member has been impacted by a family member, they would love for you to share your testimony here https://dandolopartners.syd1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_5pyqFknmzew89tY
The government is currently undertaking an independent evaluation of the chaplaincy program with the purpose of the evaluation to assess the effectiveness of the program in supporting the well-being of school students and the broader school community. The below link provides information and a link to a survey which is available until the 13th of September. Please have your say. https://www.dese.gov.au/schooling/announcements/evaluation-national-school-chaplaincy-program
