There’s still time to have the best year ever
We are just over half way through July, and a few weeks into the second half of 2018.
It sure has flown by, I feel like we only just started the year. During this mid-point, I find myself looking back on the past 6 months and asking myself:
- Have I achieved what I set out to this year?
- Am I happy with how this year has gone?
You may be reading along and answering these questions yourself. To those of you who answered yes to both these questions, good for you! You are probably feeling pumped up, and ready for the second half of the year.
But you may be looking back with disappointment. Maybe you didn’t notice how quickly the year was passing you by. Maybe you have goals which you haven’t started. And maybe, procrastination stole away your time.
But don’t lose hope, there’s heaps time to make 2018 an amazing year. You still have over 5 months to achieve all you set out to do at the start of the year. That’s a long time if you think about the weeks and days that adds up to. Don’t dismiss the rest of the year.
At the mid point in 2018, you can use this time to look at your goals, and work out what you want to focus on for the rest of the year.
Don’t give yourself too many goals, the last thing you want is an endless list of tasks. Try picking 3 or less major goals. Set yourself goals that you truly care about, and make them your priority for the next 5 months. You will find yourself becoming more motivated and focused.
Try not comparing yourself with others (although it’s hard!). If you’ve done better than you have in the past, it’s always a win!
Good luck for the next 5 months!
