1079 Life Goes Purple
Happy Purple Day! In support of our new Station Sponsor The Epilepsy Centre we are hosting a Purple Day today with a yummy purple morning tea!
March 26th is Purple Day the world over. In 2008 Cassidy Megan, aged 9, started Purple Day to try and get people talking about the disorder, dispelling some of the myths surrounding epilepsy. The idea was also to let people with seizures know that they are not alone after she experienced feelings of isolation and fear to tell the kids in her class about her condition in case they made fun of her.
You can host a Purple Day too, raise funds and awareness and even chat about what to do if someone has a seizure. Or head along to the Entertainment Center this weekend for their big-purple (of course!) family fun day!
