Hey (Lynn) Arnold!
The Hon. Rev. Dr Lynn Arnold AO has had a long and varied career. He was the 40th Premier of South Australia, has worked with World Vision and Anglicare and has a plethora of educational qualifications.
He also happens to be the host of “Sunday Night’s with Lynn Arnold” right here on 1079 Life!
Lynn has a long career of public service and is clearly dedicated to the betterment of his community. He became a Minister in the South Australian Parliament in 1979 and continued to serve through to 1994. In 1992 he became leader of the Labour party and also the Premier.
After moving away from the political arena Lynn focused his efforts on his community and humanitarian interests. He worked as the Regional Vice President of World Vision International for the Asia Pacific Region from 2003-2006 when he became Senior Director (Board Development & Peer Review) until 2007.
In 2004 Lynn was appointed as an Officer of the Order of Australia for ‘service to the community through the South Australian Parliament as Premier and through a range of portfolio responsibilities, and internationally through the development and humanitarian aid sectors’.Today you’ll be able to find Lynn teaching from his wealth of experience and ministering at St Peter’s Cathedral. He was ordained in 2013 and has been working towards building a bridge between church and secular society. He’s known for his mantra “Thinking Aloud Allowed”.
Every second Sunday from 8pm to 9:30pm you can catch up with Lynn as he covers the topics that matter in your world. With help from special guests he tackles issues regarding faith, ministry and life in the real world.
Previously he has caught up with people like Helen Glanville from Second Chances to discuss prison chaplaincy, and Angela Jolly from Schools Ministry Group (SMG) about pastoral support.
